In-Service Inspection & Management
of Lifting Equipment (LETI 02)
Who should attend?
Potential and existing responsible persons who have received no formal instruction and those requiring refresher training.
Duration:
1 day including safety awareness and achievement test.
Aims:
To give training and assessment towards the LGH Training certificate of Training Achievement and provide proof of training for use at the delegate's place of work.
Content:
At the end of the course the operative should be able to:
- understand the requirements for the relevant legislation
- manage and control lifting equipment in accordance with legislation
- carry out an In-Service Inspection of lifting equipment to identify signs of damage or wear that may effect the equipments fitness for use
- carry out basic maintenance
Knowledge:
At the end of the course the responsible person should have an adequate knowledge of:
- the duties and responsibilities, as required by statute, of the owner of liting equipment
- how to effectively manage and control lifting equipment
- the criteria for the rejection of lifting equipment
- how to carry out an In-Service Inspection
- basic maintenance requirements
