Risk Assessment & Method Statements (LETI 15)

Who should attend?
Potential and existing operators who have received no formal instruction and those requiring refresher training.

Duration:
Half-day including safety awareness and achievement test.

Aims:
To give training and assessment towards the LGH Training Certificates of Training achievement and provide proof of training for use at the delegate's place of work.

Content:
At the end of the course the operative should be able to:

• understand the requirements of the relevant legislation
• do risk assessments and method statements in the workplace
• recognise hazards and the controls required
• complete the relevant documentation

Knowledge:
At the end of the course the delegate should have an adequate knowledge of:

• the duties and responsibilities, as required by statute, of risk assessor
• what constitutes a high risk work area
• how to prevent or control hazards
• typical site operations, hazards and corrective measures
• how to complete risk assessments and method statements

Training methods:
there is a maximum of 6 delegates per course
50% practical
50% classroom
